History: https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Karen_Page
Personality: Before any other trait, Karen Page is an empathetic and caring individual. This part of her is clearly on display while she’s working as a legal secretary for Nelson & Murdock. She cares deeply for each and every client the firm takes on and in a genuine fashion. Karen also cares deeply for her co-workers who quickly become her friends and soon almost like her own family. She would gladly stand up for Foggy or Matt in any situation if she felt they were in the right. This also shows very clearly when Matt appears to die in a building collapse. As his teammates return one by one and he does not, Karen very clearly falls apart and seeks out comfort in the form of a hug in Foggy’s arms.

Karen also has a nose for the truth. This is also a trait that comes in handy while working for Nelson & Murdock as she does a lot of investigating for them. It is shown most prominently in the second season of the show when they take on Frank Castle as a client. Karen breaks into his old home and digs through his belongings without even consulting Matt or Foggy first just because she wants to know more about him. Her thirst for knowledge comes in handy later on when she starts a new career as a journalist at the local paper where this trait is clearly appreciated.

Also in reference to her career as a journalist, Karen is apparently a very talented and driven writer for the Bulletin, a newspaper. It is shown in multiple Marvel Netflix series that Karen is the journalist people go to when they want a serious story exposed on the front page. Danny Rand drops Karen’s name as a threat, essentially meaning that she’ll shine a spotlight on his story if he shares it with her. When Karen feels that something needs to be written and people need to read about it, nothing will stop her from writing about it.

If you’re looking to keep Karen quiet, you’re going to have a difficult time. She always speaks her mind when she feels it is the right thing to do. An example of this would be that time on The Punisher when a bomber phones in to a radio talk show Karen is a guest on. She, somewhat unwisely, outright called him a coward even though she must have known it would paint a clear target on her back.

There is also a darkness to Karen. This is not always apparent as she is usually smiling when she is with her friends, but Karen has taken a life and that weighs heavily on her spirit. She has stated once that she no longer sees the city she lives in but its dark corners. When Nelson and Murdock take on Frank Castle as a client, also known as The Punisher, she is prone to defending him even as he kills people. I definitely believe it’s because she has taken a life herself and can, perhaps, identify even just the smallest bit with him.

This darkness is also clearly on display when Karen is willing to sacrifice her own life to bring down none other than the Kingpin of New York City, Wilson Fisk, to get him behind bars and protect her friends.

Karen is a bright and intelligent woman. There are few people who can fool her. The only one on the show who could successfully do it was Matt in his attempts to keep his identity as Daredevil secret from her. She is smart. She speaks Spanish fairly fluently. She proves herself to be an integral part of the law firm, later a part of the newspaper, and yet again as part of the firm.

How Do You Think They'll React to Being In Parthas? At first Karen will be eager to accept peace and spiritual awakening, but eventually she’ll grow suspicious and want a look behind the curtain.

Karen was usually such a careful vampire. She had lived for over a hundred years without so much as a close call, always avoiding even the best vampire hunters, but there was something about Frank Castle. He was sharper than the others. Better. Driven by something that she didn’t completely understand. She’d heard about him through the undead grapevine. He had quite the reputation for snuffing out vampire lives.

She hadn’t expected to run into him in that alleyway. As she fed on a man who’d intended to slip a pill into her beer, she heard him approaching, cornering her. Karen let her prey slip from her arms, weakly tumbling to the ground half-conscious. Her head turned to look at him, blood smeared around her lips. She was ready to fight if necessary, but instead she defended her actions.

“He’s scum. A date rapist. Would you really save him?”

And save him from what? Karen never killed her prey. She simply took from them and left them frightened, something she felt they all deserved. No one would believe them, anyway.

Karen was not new to being a nurse, but she was new to the Red Cross. It was a fast-paced atmosphere and demanded a lot of a person like Karen, but she gave it all. That was just her nature. So, when a soldier was carried in with an almost frightening blow to the head, Karen put her nerves and the uneasy feeling in her stomach aside to assist with the doctors in attending to his injury. Once he was cleaned up, she rode with him in the ambulance to a makeshift ward not very far from the battlefield where he was meant to recover.

She had other patients to attend to, but once her shift was over she made her way back to his bed, back to the man so many had thought wouldn’t pull through, and sat by his bedside. Karen took his bigger, roughed up hand in hers and held it as he seemed to slumber so quietly. His state made her wonder how much it mattered that she was even there. It was that whole ‘If a tree falls in a forest and there’s no one around to hear it…’ question. If Karen held a patient’s hand and he was unconscious the whole time, what good did it do?

Her eyes focused on his face in the dim lighting. Some of the men she tended to looked like boys, like they didn’t belong on a battlefield, but there was something about this man that made him look like a soldier. Karen watched him. She wondered how long it had been since he’d slept this peacefully and at the same time prayed that he would wake up.

Those days when Karen finished work before sunset were a rarity, but as an orange sun peeped through clouds in the sky she found herself parking her car on the street and getting ready to come inside for some much needed down time. She stopped briefly on the passenger side of her car to pick up a brown paper bag of groceries and nudged it shut with her foot. Making her way up the stairs to the front door of her apartment building, she peered around the tall paper bag and opened it to step inside.

Still wearing her heels from work, her feet clicked on the foyer floor. Karen started up the stairs and walked to her own door. Using what amounted to either an expert balancing act or pure magic, she rested the bag of groceries on a propped up knee as she unlocked her apartment. It lasted maybe fifteen seconds before toppling over – oranges, a tin of coffee, and some yogurt cups spilling out at her feet. Karen sighed, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. She elbowed her door open and set to work picking up her groceries.

The Blue Note was the most upscale speakeasy in town. It was also a notorious hangout for Fisk and his men. Karen wasn’t dressed to the nines in a snug, blue dress, headed inside that club for a drink – She was going in there for information. Ever since her brother had been killed in a rain of bullets all because of Fisk, she’d been determined to be the man’s downfall. She’d hoped to gather enough information tonight to go to the cops and have them do the rest of the work. She was gutsy and she had spirit, but she was no detective. This wasn’t a one woman fight. She’d need backup.

Karen slid up to the bar and waved down the bartender. She quietly asked for a martini and the name of Fisk’s right-hand man. The man pushed the drink towards her and hesitatingly nodded towards a formidable man across the room from her. Karen sighed, watching him. Maybe he would be her ticket to gathering information.

Unfortunately, The Blue Note was packed. It was full of people who wanted to talk to Fisk’s man, who wanted to talk to everyone. There were plenty of distractions, but she watched him with a laser focus.

Like she was prone to do, Karen separated herself from the rest of the mermaids and swam to the surface. She gasped as sunlight hit her face. There was something about this world above the depths of her home that fascinated her so much. Karen had learned a lot by watching pirates and sailors – mostly to fear them, but also language and how to manage with some of their tools. A lot could be learned from observation.

For now, she was alone, perched on a reef with most of her shimmering tail still submerged, her long, wet hair concealing her breasts. Karen looked out in the distance. There was a ship. Karen was not like some of her sisters who sought to drag sailors down beneath the waves to their deaths. She just wasn’t a violent creature. All she ever wanted to do was keep to herself – A lonely mermaid of sorts.

Running her fingers through the blonde tangles that ran down her breast, she began to sing a sad, melodic tune without words. Such songs had been said to have alluring power, but to Karen it was simply a song

It had been a week and Karen had been waffling on whether or not she should call Frank. She wanted to, she really did, but even gutsy girls like hers had insecure moments. All she needed was a push, a moment of inspiration. That moment came standing outside of the Pi Kappa Alpha frat house as a party raged on inside.

She was dressed for a party, catching plenty of glances from guys as they headed inside, but she didn’t feel like she belonged there. Karen was actually grateful for that feeling. It would keep her centered and focused on the fact that she was here for serious research.

Karen pulled out her phone and quickly thumbed through her contacts to find Frank, pressing call. She held the phone to her ear and waited.

[ The halls of the school are covered with signs and banners. Homecoming is fast approaching. Karen is painfully aware of this. She was just pressured into an article that was supposed to be about the buzz and excitement of Homecoming season. The game, the court… It is to date her least favorite piece of writing. She doesn’t want anything to do with Homecoming, and yet…

Karen hugs her books to her chest and steps up to Frank’s locker. She’s had this urge to just be around him ever since they crossed paths. ]

[ The ship rocks back and forth and even though she’s below deck Karen can tell they’re setting out to see. She grumbles and grabs ahold of a barrel to steady herself. Hardly a willing passenger on this ship, Karen would have rather been left behind to fight men off, but some pirate with a tendency to refer to her as “ma’am” had simply slung her over his shoulder and took her aboard his ship. It was for her own safety, but she was in no frame of mind to realize that.

Once she has her sea legs she begins pacing, anger building up in her. She can hear the crew chattering on deck, sometimes hearing mention of the woman below deck. Well, isn’t that just great. They’re talking about her. ]

I can hear you talking about me! [ She barks through the door that leads to the deck, loud enough for anyone to hear her.

Folding her arms, she huffs and gathers the breath to shout something else. ]
I demand to speak to your captain!
